June 4, 2007 my family gets together to visit with my Aunt's Johanna and goes to see her land in Walsenburg Co. I'm going to guess I wasn't invited. Yup, that's what I remember, totally not invited. See currently it is 2014, and I'm looking back through my mom's pictures and updating my blog. I thought long and hard about whether I should blog about this 'family' minus me trip. What would I say, I wasn't there. Nor have I ever been there. And now that my aunt has sold her land I may never go. So why blog?
Well, this could be fun, and it will be funny, at least for me.
Couple reminders: These are my mom's pictures, although I did edit the shit out of them. Second, I wasn't there, incase you missed that in the start of my blog. Lastly, I'm 100% sure what I'm writing on my blog is accurately coming from my own thoughts or the exact words that I have heard my grandpa say to me.
(Papa John, Johanna, and Elizabeth)
Johanna showing Elizabeth and Grandpa the boarder of her land. Grandpa smiles as he is speechless that his two girls are sure the battle of Williamsburg took place on Johanna's Land in... well Colorado not Virginia.'See Liz Walsenburg, Williamsburg'.
(My sweet little brother Jared seconds before he jumps out on my un-expecting grandma and gives her a heartattack.)
Ancient Garden beds?

Jared just found out it's cow poop that has been there a while.
A dry creek, now they can get water for the way home.
Grandpa is pointing to were the battle of Williamsburg really took place. Or the place he would like to be buried. We can build a family plot, just over there.
My cousin Tim and his sons Elijah (blue shirt) and Josiah (red shirt).
Johanna is sick of hearing about Liz's food baby.
Up to no good, he was wondering if they saw him pee over there..
I love his face.
Brothers. Although Elijah farted and Josiah is starting to smell it. Must be up wind.
Gen. Philip Kearny's families home after winning the battle. Johanna is plotting to take them out.
The devastation from the battle that took place 1862. I personally think this has something to do with the Game of Thrones.
After taking 5 minutes of silents and saying their prayers for Ideal Canyon they came to the conclusion that he must have been part of the Federal's army.
Proof.
About to get his way.
$$$$$$ (song in head) Money, money, money... MONEY! Wait, we didn't put that there. Is someone else drilling for our oil?
Look everyone its a horse.
Seriously, I only see this big beautiful eyes.
Wash your shirt.
'Get your arm off me' -Jared.
He's totally going to wipe that bugger on Jared, I must take this picture as proof to Tim. - Debbie
Grandpa is faster then Eric.
Reminds me of a mama duck, but he's a daddy duck. Did he mean to line them up?
Look Jared is in that picture.
It's like Hogwarts the pictures change.
Totally going to throw a rock at you.
This tree is cool looking.
Spikes
Aw, he's cute.
Leave me alone. Go now!! - Grandpa
But how do we get down there? What is that?
It must be worth $$$. The song is back in my head. Money, money, money...MONEY. Nevermind, it's broken.
Susan's room if we ever live on our land.
I found a way down, the stairway to .....
Susan, morning coffee is reacting and there are no bathrooms anywhere.
I think it was a church.
I love these two.
He just stepped in Susan's dumping area.
Beautiful.
I think they should roll down.
This is where the confederate army continued its withdrawal during the night, then they moved in the direction of Denver.
Mama Olga says Hi
Grandpa just told grandma what Johanna and Liz are talking about.
It 90 degrees out, I have my hoodie on because I can.
They got scared and decided not to roll down.
I believe I can fly.
What is in his hand??
I love my grandma!!
Jared really wants to roll down.
Eric said NO.
In the background, you can see papa making one last request. 'Please Lord take me'. -Grandpa
But it went unheard...
I love you, but I never want to see you again. And Lord please take me from these people.
