Pumpkin Patch and Pumpkin Carving

Our first Halloween in event of the season, starting a little late but better late then never. We missed all the festivities while we lived in Australia so it's a big surprise we weren't going all out this year. I did find a few fun halloween events down town Denver but we just never made it this year, football season has us (Chris) pretty busy! But we did fine the time to make it to the pumpkin patch with our good friends the McCormick family. Of course Chris stayed at home to watch football and the older boys (Ryleigh and Issiah) stayed behind too. We had a great time searching for pumpkins, taking pictures, and finding our way through the corn maze. But the kids were eager to get home to carve their pumpkins.

For finishing the maze each of the kids got a small pumpkin.

We needed a total of 8 pumpkins. Wow! A car full.

Time to carve the pumpkin and yup the older boys joined in .

Layden loved the pumpkin guts.

Athena and Macie enjoyed cleaning their pumpkin out, Brayden on the other hand  had his hand in it for a whole minute and was done. We of course saved the seeds for roasting.

Chris took a break from the football game to join in and help out, as my hands were full with 6 kids with knifes and only 2 adults to help. And believe me when I say the kids loved playing with the knife their pumpkin were over carved.

Issiah on the other hand didn't want to carve his pumpkin, A little bit of art work did the treat for him. I guess it's just not his thing.

Can you tell my kids are at the age where it is difficult to take a serious picture and they are always wanting to see themselves as soon as I take the picture. They all got a little crazy!
