Avon Colorado. If you haven't gotten it yet, we love family get-a-ways especially during the holidays. It's just such a great opportunity to spend time together and explore somewhere new. This Thanksgiving break Chris and I choose Avon Colorado. Chris had been here a couple times and I really only drove through on our way to Lake Powell. I have never skied Beaver Creek so the Idea of coming back during the ski season sounds fun. But this trip is not about skiing.
I didn't know Club Wyndham had PR resorts (Presidential Only). And yup, Avon is a PR resort, making this one of the nice Wyndham we have stayed in.
We got in Thursday evening and plan on staying for the week, getting back on time for Thanksgiving the worst holiday ever, I hate Turkey and cooking. But for my amazing mother in law I will suck it up and have a Thanksgiving celebration but without the Turkey.
This is the lobby, and what makes this lobby so great is the employees. They are so fun to talk too, kind, and just makes us all smile.
Every hallway looks the same so no wonder why I've knocked on the wrong door one to many times. Why the elevator stops at random floors when I didn't ask, I will never know.
The Rooms are great, Large, comfortable, and set up nicely for our family.
In a 2 bedroom suit that sleeps 6 there are only 2 chairs outside so 3 to 1 chair.
My biggest problem with Wyndham is it is impossible to get a 3 bedroom and with 4 kids I really need a 3 bedroom. But the kids are great and 2 of them sleep on the pull out sofa. Sleeping is important but my kids love the other things the resort has to offer....
Weigh Room is just now being fun for the big Boys.
The best part of the all the large inside salt water hot tube with a waterfall.
Kids are spending hours in there.
Pool Table. We are a family that loves pool.
Chris had to work today so it was a lazy lazy day but we did take a short walk. Not for the exercise but for Pokemon Go.
So cool, I plan on doing this at our mountain home.
Family Pizza Night.
Making Pizza.
Waiting for the pizza to get done cook. Left Right Center. Family Games.
Lastly, S'more.
Day 2: Movie Day
Fantastic Beasts | The Crimes of Grindelwald.
It's a tradition of our family's to go to the movies on our family mountain trips, and lucky for us The Crimes of Grindelwald is out.
Walking around downtown Edwards. Burning time about the movie.
Selfie with daddy.
Movie Time:
Then dinner at a local Hawaiian Restaurant
Then Chris and I had a great time play games while the kids ran around the hotel. The boys came up and join us later to to game phase 10. And now Ryliegh is off taking night photos in the snow.
My Favorite game.
Day 3 Family Picture Day!!!
Great way to start the day... Blogging, Sudoku, and Chris.
So family pictures are really pictures of the kids. Heads up there are 90+ photos because I cant choose.
Today was all about chilling, family games, and for me... Editing pictures.
Athena was our chef for the evening, making us delicious Mexican food.
Day 3: Work and Planning for our future.
I love our family mini vacation, such a great way to spend time with each other. And give Chris and I a chance to do a little planning for our future. Today Chris and I plan on working and dreaming for our future while the kids spend the day at the rec center and run around the town.
I thing we are pictures out, I didn't take one picture. I went into the hot tub with Layden and Athena, and no pictures. This is not like me. I enjoyed the Hottub, although I wish it was a little hotter.
Issiah hurt is arm and spent most of the day in bed, once again ... no pictures. I guess the only reason I would want pictures of him in bed is to document the reason why we call him Mr. Grass.
We did all come together at the end of the night to have dinner at Gore Range Brewery... Yummy
Ryleigh and I had huge laughs at dinner, he always makes me laugh. Ryleigh and I also shared bread puddling. Yummy.
Day 5: Our Last Day
Our original plans were to stay one more night although Chris thought if we leave tonight we will have all day Wednesday to run around and get things done. Fine. Packing in the morning can be stressful anyways. So the plan is we will work and pack in the morning, go shopping and have lunch in Vail, then head home. Maybe I take a picture or two. We will see.
