First Day of School at Toorak Primary School

We were only in Melbourne for 9 days before the boys jumped into the Australian yearly round school system. But we had to get them enrolled, because they were going crazy in the small hotel room.

Ryleigh was pushed to the middle of 2nd second and Layden was pushed to the middle of preps (aka..Kindergarten). Public education is 'free' but every term we pay some fees for enrollment and uniforms. Oh and this uniform thing happens in ALL schools, and is not cheap. The boys loved their uniforms and couldn't wait to wear them.

First stop breakfast at a cafe, then a tram ride down Toorak street and a small walk to the school. It was fun until a bad rain storm sent my children running down the street crying, "were going to die," after their umbrella turned inside out from the rain and heavy winds. Hey what can I say we are from Colorado, and yes a tornado have touched down right in front of us. Not having to run to the basement everyday for tornado warning will take some getting use too.

Tram Ride to School...brotherly love.

Yummy. Muffins and Hot Chocolate!!
