Okay, for the next two weeks the boys have swim lessons for school as part of their curriculum.
It's really cool. And if you didn't know it already, I am an over protective mother, I watch them during there swimming lessons every single day. Plus it was an amazing experience.
On my walk to the swim center I heard gentle buzzing sound. At first, I didn't think too much about it but, when the sound became louder, I looked around and it was a 50ft tall, 30 foot wide swarm of bees!
It was hard for me to register what I was actually seeing! I ran ahead of myself for cover inside of the Harold Holt aquatic Center. I told person I saw, he gave me a non-chalant expression. I encountered at least 5 more swarms while living in Australia. I made it a habit of taking a longer route the moment I saw them. There was no way I would walk through them.
While I am writing about crazy insects in Australia, I also had a terrifying experience while driving my car.
Btw, both of these experiences, I was on the phone with my friend, Shauna. hummm
While driving to an event (didn't drive very often while in Australia) and driving from the right side of the car, and on the left side of the Road, a VERY large spider was crawling across the driver side window!!
I was so scared I actually drove on the wrong side of the road and even drove up on the sidewalk!
The Huntsman spider was the size of my hand and it made loud noises. I wasn't going to pick it up and I thought at any moment he was going to jump on my face. Btw. I'm in Chris' bosses car. So I take a shirt that was on the floor and swept the spider out the window along with his bosses shirt. I feel really bad but there was no way I was going back for the shirt.
I don't have an actual picture of that spider but this is what it looked like.
