Now that school is back in session and I need to get all 4 of the kids out the door and Chris and I to work, we are always running right on time but some days we are right up on the school bus. No matter how early I get up and get everything prepared the night before, the kids are sooo slow it's a nightmare...No matter how I asked it's a slow moving process and there are four of them, so it's rough.
This blog is about our princess ATHENA and dressing. Why oh why do you have to dress like a messy messy child. She has so many beautiful clothes and yet she wants to dress in the same tights every day.
“Let’s get your clothes on so we can get something to eat and pack your backpack, do you want to pick your outfit or me too, pick between these two outfits"….she will take the opposite position or just start whining or collapse to the floor... refusing to move, making it virtually impossible for me to help her get dressed which I have to do or else it would take another half hour (I would love for her o dress herself and not look a mess) …..She is also very stubborn and will remove all her clothes because she ... well she doesn't ever know why she doesn't like an outfit. I can't help unless I understand what is wrong with the outfits I pick.
This morning had a happy ending she's dressed and looks cute, and more importantly she's happy.
Then the photobombs.
New rule in our home... Make sure we get five minutes of relaxed snuggle time with each child as they wake up. I know, it sounds impossible. But it's so important for them and for us. If everything else is already done, I can relax for five minutes and just love them. It's time where Chris and I can connect with our children and I believe it will transform your mornings.
You fill your child's cup before the day starts, and you re-connect in the evening after a long day of the separation, which gives our child the motivation to cooperate instead of fight with us. It's all about the love!!!!!
