Furniture building 2014

For a Christmas Eve 2013 gift I attempt to make a both my boys a quilt. I came close to finishing it but did make it on time. Over the past months I worked very slowly on them. Unit one day Ryleigh asked for me to finish his quilt already. At that point I knew I had no more excuses. I worked hard over the past two day to finish his quilt and at the same time working on a much larger project... decoupaging a dresser for Ryleigh's room. As you can probably tell...  I love this shit. Especially when I finish the project I started.

Ryleigh threatening me to keep on.

It's done/  Yay!!

Ryleigh's dresser.

I painted Ryleigh's room purple and green and I thought is would be cool to make his dresser the same colors but wanted to break the bold color of the dresser by adding a superhero design.

I brought two superhero books, 1) DC and the other Marvel. Then started creating the designs in the draws and around the dressers.

I had alot of fun doing this part.

Start painting on the decoupage.  I used the wrong stuff at first and then eventually worked it out.

The main part of the dresser I painted purple and the draws I painted green.

I though it would be cool to make the center drawer a calk board,

Such a big project.

All done, now to put all back together.

Ryleigh is happy big the dresser. And I think it looks good.

It seem fitting.

He is definitely my hero.

Shit. I messed up and painted it on up-side-down.

Yup. Up-side-down

From one project to the other but I got it done.
